This sculptural form is inspired by Janthina globosa, a pelagic sea snail that drifts across the open ocean on a raft of self-produced bubbles. Found in tropical and subtropical waters of the Atlantic and Indo-Pacific Oceans, it lives at the ocean surface rather than the seabed, carried by currents and wind across vast distances.

Its shell is delicate yet distinct, often violet to deep purple in tone, with a smooth, rounded spiral form that appears almost weightless. Suspended beneath floating bubble structures, the animal exists in a constant state of movement and drift, shaped by the rhythm of the open sea.
